Candace Newsome and her 16 year old daughter Mykal Newsome were shot and killed in their Minford home. This case is very similar to the Rhoden Family Massacre that happened in April 2016. Candace and Mykal were found by an unidentified man who had come upon the grisly scene . He then went to the nearby home of family member. That person then headed to the Newsome trailer. She then found the two dead and called 911 around 8:30 a.m. The mother and daughter were found dead, killed execution style. Investigators say Mykal appeared to be running away, trying to escape the home when she was shot. Now just like the Rhoden massacre this case is still unsolved. Candace and Mykal were murdered on January 4th, 2016 and the Rhoden family April 22nd, 2016. The families did have some ties with each other. Both cases have also been linked as possibly drug related. Candace and Mykal were murdered on Blue Run Road in Lucasville, Ohio. Most of the Rhoden family murders took place on Union Hill Rd outside of Piketon, Ohio. That's about 32 miles apart. .....doesn't seem like a coincidence to me!!
